THE INVENTOR
Elizabeth (Lizzie) Trindade
Born
in Oregon, raised in Seattle WA, Elizabeth spent her formative years
studying dance, music and drama at the Cornish Institute of the Allied
Arts. When not in school, this outdoor girl headed to the hills to ski,
raft, ride horses, and climb Mt Ranier. Intent on pursuing a dance and
theater career, Elizabeth moved to New York
City and immediately landed a television commercial using her dance and
athletic skills, one being the unusual role of a tightrope walker!
With a SAG
(Screen Actors Guild) card under her belt, she continued to study
acting at the Actors Studio while balancing the drama of life. Later,
these skills would be used in her business and in the art of motherhood.
In 1987, Elizabeth founded Aline Fitness Inc., a personal training firm
that catered to in-home clients. The prestigious clientèle ranged from
Anthony Quinn to Dr. Henry Kissinger. As the clientèle list grew, so did
her notoriety. She was now a fit wife and business women.

Along came her first baby, Tatiana in 1990 and her life and career took a
turn. She created an actual fitness system around a stroller and later
turned it into a business. Her company grew quickly from two classes a week to 100 a month in NYC. Elizabeth
wrote and directed her first Strollercize video and audio tape in 1995,
"The Strollercize DVD Workout." Her second video, " Strollercize Your
Waist Away," was produced in 1998 as an ongoing series. In 1999 she was
ready to expand her company but her marriage ended and her heart and
family seemed broken.
With
fitness as her strength and her faith, she continued to run her New
York City personal training studio and turned Strollercize into the
largest stroller fitness business in the country. In 2001 she wrote her
first book, "Strollercize, The New Mothers Workout," published by Random
House. But like all roads in life, their are bumps and this stroller
fitness queen, took a detour. In 2001, New York City experienced 9/11
and in 2002 we had the big black out. It seemed a very tough time to
take care of a family, run two businesses and deal with a crushing
divorce.

As
a single mom of three in New York City, it was really tough. The
children were getting older and joint custody was not working, nor did
she feel it was healthy for the children to go back and forth to
different "homes". Stress took over and on top of that she hit the
dating world without a instruction book! With the breakup of her four
year relationship and a custody battle from hell, she began to focus on a
new workout to keep her fit physically and emotionally, "The Breakup
Workout." She learned to love the single life and took up golf and flying lessons!
Elizabeth
moved to Naples, Florida for a change of scenery and lets just say a more affordable lifestyle. She took her drive to the
"driving range" in her heart for her family and decided to create a On-Line Certification Course that she could offer her knowledge of Stroller Fitness classes without living her home office! Now instructors could learn from her and not fly to the big city (unless to take a class with her). Also she wanted her "City" kids to see alligators and green grass and The Gulf of Mexico! While being a summer mom her boys enjoyed the life of S.W. Florida and life was good. She also met the
love of her life "Franky" right when she was enjoying be single and at peace with her life and her children. The Breakup
Workout, worked because she found strength to love herself first so she could
love and trust again and the second book when on the shelf!
Life was all about tennis, golf,
alligators and teaching fitness classes to mature mavens and amazing
energetic women of The Worthington Country Club in Bonita Beach FL. She began to understand that practicing good posture must start at a young age so when you do get older the aches and pains are less. It was in these classes stressed continued to teach her posture and alignment training. This is what Ms Trindade was all about in her fitness training years. She started Aline Fitness because she felt alignment was key to being fitter. One must have good posture, a spine that has all the curves in the right places and with that core understanding fitness classes, sports, gold, tennis and dancing are much easier to perform without pain.
So you might say she found the swing in her life and in helping others find their swings. Life was going good. But it was going to take another turn, go over a huge bump and yes go off a personal cliff.
Now
I am a better trainer because of the RollerSizeR. My clients enjoy
their core work and I do not need to hear "it hurts my neck." I have
been a gym owner and personal trainer in a highly competitive society
of New York City, I have seen every exercise program, gadget, fitness
fad and most of my trainer friends are all fitness Guru's, Elizabeth
Crutchfield of Home Bodies, Mindy Solkin of The Running Center, Paul
Shelby of Aline Fitness NY and those are my close friends!
